Why Does The Puerto Rican Goverment Depend On The United States To Send Them Free Money?
Uncategorized December 24th, 2009I don’t understand why would the United States send money to a small island that does not produce much imports. The united states needs to let them govern on there own.let’s see how well would they do.I just think it will just become another Cuba.

Have you ever been to Cuba? I have and there is nothing wrong with that country. Just because United States doesn’t govern a country doesn’t mean it’s going to fall into shambles!

Puerto Rico is a US territory which means we own it. Puerto Ricans pay property taxes and Social Security taxes too. You are an idiot. What do you mean govern their own? They fight in our military, they have representatives in the US govt. You are crazy, and don’t know what you’re talking about. Maybe you’re thinking of another country?

The USA is trying to avoid having to deal with another problem like Cuba. The main goal of the independence movement in Puerto Rico is to turn the island into a socialist country with the help of Fidel Castro and the lunatic of Hugo Chavez. Luckily most Puerto Ricans are completely against the independence because they are very aware of the intentions of the socialists. Puerto Rico does not produce much, but there are lots of pharmaceutical labs and many other American industries there that are enjoying special tax breaks from the Puerto Rican government. My husband is Puerto Rican, that’s why I know this.

did you even go to school to educate yourself or what?
In case you forgot, Puerto Rico is an American territory, i.e. commonwealth territory. therefore that’s why they “depend” on the U.S.
